This is our last chance as a group to pull weeds, water new plantings, prune where needed, and generally take care of the park. However, everyone is invited to take care of the land whenever and wherever the urge hits you.

If you are walking in the park, feel free to pick up that bit of litter, pull that weed, or call the city if you see something that needs staff attention. It is obvious to me that many of you are already doing this. Our park looks loved because of everything that everyone does!

Event Details:

• When: Saturday, June 20, 9:00 am – noon
• Where: South Pasadena Nature Park, 100 block of Pasadena Ave, east of York Blvd Bridge. Street parking is available on Pasadena Ave for the upper entrance, and in the parking lots near the golf course by the lower entrance. Meet in the park near the lower entrance, next to the recreational path.

• What to expect: There will be a variety of activities including weeding, watering, pruning, and gentle grading of the soil to form the rain garden. New to gardening? No problem! We’ll have experienced volunteers on hand to guide you.
